Hello, and welcome to my blog!

Whatever the reason / stream of clicks that has brought you here, my hope is that you find something of value or get the courage to try something different.  I try to be open and as transparent as possible especially when it comes to my medical condition which you can read more about under the "PN" section.  Have a look around and please feel free to write me with any questions or comments you may have. :-)

This is my insta account (@data_driven_cyclist) which is mainly comprised of pics of my beautiful family (wife, 2 kids, 2 rescued pitbulls), training, and epic meals which I try not to have too much of ;-)

Haute route - sf

April 2018

What a ride. It was a miracle to even participate in this event as this was my first ride coming off of being diagnosed with PN.  No doubt, I suffered like a dog both on the bike but also in my sensitive bits due to the nerve still being frayed. All in all, was incredible and managed Top 25 in GC.

Haute route - Utah

September 2018

Definitely an incredible ride through Cedar City and the surrounding area.  Each day we climbed X > 10k feet and despite the elevation (you start @ 5k above sea level!) I still managed to get 3rd on GC despite being sick.  I'll update with pics here soon!

May 2019

Beautiful is the only way to describe this. I have never been to this part of America and what a treat. Was totally worth it. I flatted on the last climb and GC was toast from that point on but to experience the Blue Ridge Parkway that was totally worth it.

September 2019

90 miles of full pain :-)  Imagine FINISHING 75 miles of 9k feet of elevation with a 20k TT NORTH ON 1 (into a block headwind).  I recall doing 352W and going 9mph. Absolutely mental, absolutely loved the post-ride burrito. 3rd on GC, 2nd in Age Division.
